Ron was taken from us on Wed 25th Nov 2009, leaving behind wife Chris, son Craig, daughter and son in law Jane and Scott and Grandson Zak. Plus friends from Adwick Tri Club, Adwick Swimming Club and countless customers from his barbers shop. His career as the local barber ment most men and mums in locality knew him and his scissors. We at Adwick TRI/SWIM Club knew him as a regular swimmer who was relied on to count how many lengths/sets we had done. He was used as a benchmark he never faultered swimming length upon length, hour upon hour hence the nickname the METRONOME. If you could keep up that was an achievement if you could pass him you knew if you faultered he would return the favour with just a smile as we recovered.
