It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Adrian Wheatley passed away in Doncaster Royal Infirmary on Wednesday 3^rd October 2012.

Aidy was a former member of Adwick Triathlon Club and was an exceptional talented athlete.

He won numerous events at home and abroad both nationally and internationally as a firefighter competing in European and World Firefighter games at individual events such as cycling and swimming and also in Triathlon.

He won the Hatfield triathlon event 3 years in a row and took Adwick Tri Club to National honours at National team relay championships.

Locally he competed in duathlons in Sheffield and Scunthorpe and was untouchable in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.

He will be sadly missed by all in the Triathlon world as an athlete and friend,we as a club send our thoughts to his family at this time.

Adrian’s funeral will take place at Doncaster Crematorium on Wednesday 17^th October 2012 at 11am

Sorry for late info, There will be a running time trial/Training event based at the boat inn this Saturday 17th March 2012! You need to be there for 15:00 all welcome what ever standard.

Important changes will be happening from 1st April 2011 to the triathlon club, We will be taking over the swim sessions and these will now be run by the triathlon club not the swimming club, Lanes will be available to everybody, on a Monday night 21:00-22:00 and a change to Thursday night swimming; we will now swim 21:00-22:00 this means we will be able to have more than one lane! So again swimming will be available to everybody.

Well better later than never Xmas ride 2011 did happen on the Sunday 19th December 2010, 11 club members turn up for lunch ( 8 Riders managed the full ride, 1 rider started the ride before turning back, 1 rider decided a drink in town on Saturday night was better option so took the short route there, and 1 club member decided it would be better to drive there in the warm of the car!)

Due to adwick swimming club holding their postal swim on Thursday there will be no triathlete swimming available.

Spinning will be held at 7.00 not 7.45.

We will be running our postal swim on Monday 21st Feburary.
